Four lovely pooches, currently in the care of Animal Rescue Cumbria, are ready for rehoming. Are you ready to meet them?

Animal Rescue Cumbria and The Wainwright Shelter take in, rehabilitate and rehome 350 cats and dogs every year. Once a dog has been assessed by the animal care team, they can be advertised for adoption.

These beautiful dogs are ready to find their forever families…

TOBY is a yellow Labrador, age one year and nine months.

The Westmorland Gazette:

He would like to find an active home, with a secure garden and a family that can take him out on lots of adventures.

Toby has previously lived with a cat and could live with secondary school aged children.

He also needs a home where there is another confident Labrador.

WALTER is a Husky Cross breed, estimated to be around 11 years old.

The Westmorland Gazette:

This ‘sweet older gentleman’ enjoys going out for walks and is polite when walking on lead.

He would prefer to be the only dog in the home and could live with older children.

Walter would love a soft bed to curl up in for naps and for his new family to be around plenty for cuddles.

DEACON the Kerry Blue Terrier is 11 years and six months old.

The Westmorland Gazette:

This ‘very sweet and snuggly boy’ is ready to find a quiet retirement home with a cosy sofa to call his own.

He loves human attention and would like his new family to be around lots of the time.

Deacon is looking for a quiet, child free, adult only home with a secure garden for him to potter around in.

Animal Rescue Cumbria said he enjoys his walks but is reactive towards other dogs and needs to find a home where he is the only pet.

BREE the Border Collie is one year and seven months old.

The Westmorland Gazette:

She is a ‘very sweet natured and gentle girl’ looking for a quiet sofa to call her own.

Animal Rescue Cumbria said Bree previously lived on a farm and came to them as a failed working dog.

She would be best suited to living in a rural area and needs an understanding owner who can help her settle into a new home environment.

Bree would like a home where there are no children and to be the only pet, she is also looking for a secure garden to explore.
