Morecambe Bay hospitals 'pleased' with scores
HOSPITALS around Morecambe Bay have scored ‘above national average’ for privacy, dignity and wellbeing, according to results from a Patient Led Assessment Care Environment (PLACE) review.
Results from a survey carried out in April have been released, revealing all three sites have scored above average according to assessors, service users, Health Watch members and staff.
Barry Rigg, head of hotel services for the trust, said: “We are pleased with our results and they show that overall, we are performing well.”
For privacy and dignity, Furness General Hospital scored 91.56 per cent, Westmorland General 92.12 per cent and the Royal Lancaster Infirmary 92.15 per cent. The national average was 88.87 per cent.
The Royal Lancaster Infirmary also scored above average for ‘general condition appearance and maintenance’.
