A KENDAL art gallery has become the latest partner in Google’s Art Project.
Abbot Hall Art Gallery are the latest establishment to become involved in the unique collaboration which see’s some of the of the world’s most acclaimed art galleries and museums offering people the chance to discover and view artworks online in extraordinary detail.
As well as featuring nearly 100 works from the Lakeland Arts Collection in high resolution, The Great Triptych was chosen to be photographed in astonishing detail using super high resolution photo capturing technology.
This type of technology enables the viewer to study details of the brushwork beyond the naked eye.
The building is also now captured by street view – allowing the viewer to move virtually around the Gallery and Museum.
