In 2014 we should continue to reap the benefits of partnership working.

We can only succeed by working closely with the district and county councils, our local community interest company, the Chamber of Trade and our schools.

In the year ahead, we will help create a development trust where a wider section of the community will have their say.

We will have to consider how best to use funding from a community infrastructure levy through discussions with all these partners.

Our weekly market will be more attractive and profitable, more visitors will benefit from the volunteer-run information and gift shop, and public toilets will remain available.

Two community jobs have already been created. More are in the pipeline.
