MORECAMBE and Lunesdale MP David Morris has today welcomed a budget boost for local health providers.
He was commenting following news that the NHS Lancashire North Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) budget has been increased for 2014/15.
Mr Morris said the budget is set to increase by 2.14 per cent and will again increase the following year (2015/16.) The allocation in 2014 /15 in is £195, 658, he said.
Mr Morris, the Conservative MP, said: “I am pleased that the CCG budgets have been increased, overall it is patients who will benefit from the increase.”
“Sadly, the Labour party did oppose the increase, but, I wholeheartedly welcome the news.”
