Residential plans for a barn in Dallicar Lane, Giggleswick, have been dismissed on appeal to the Planning Inspectorate.
An appeal was made to convert the barn at Sheephouse Laithe after it was refused permission by Craven District Council.
Government inspector Peter Eggleton has dismissed the appeal, saying it would harm the character of the area.
