UPDATE: Woman who died after being rescued from water at Force Forge is named

THE woman who died after being pulled from water in the Lake District has been named as Sue Jones from Satterthwaite.

Cumbria Police say the 60-year-old had fallen into the water at Force Forge in Ulverston at around 10.45am yesterday.

Fire and ambulance attended and she was rescued from the water at around 11am before being taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary where she died.

It is believed she had fallen into the water and got into difficulty.

Police are not treating the incident as suspicious.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Cumbria Police on 101 and ask for Barrow CID.
