MANCHESTER Camerata’s dynamic leader Giovanni Guzzo steps into the limelight as director and soloist in Mozart’s Fifth Concerto for Violin at Ulverston’s Coronation Hall on Saturday, February 1 (7.30pm). The concert also features the Adagietto from Mahler’s Symphony no 5, made famous through Visconti’s film Death in Venice. Mahler’s arrangement for string orchestra of Schubert’s extraordinary 14th string quartet, Death and the Maiden, competes the programme.

There will be a pre-concert performance (6.30pm), when children from three Ulverston primary schools present new pieces of music following workshops with Camerata musicians.
