A VETERAN supporter of south Cumbria’s young farmers has been honoured for nearly four decades of work for the YFC movement.
For 37 years, Dorrie Galbraith has encouraged the development of generations of young farmers through various official positions, including county president and speaking judge.
Now she has been rewarded by being made the Cumbria YFC Southern District’s first honorary life vice-president.
After her election at the district’s 32nd annual meeting at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal, Dorrie was given a standing ovation by the 200 or so young farmers present.
