A YOUNG boy is in a stable condition after falling from the back of a moving vehicle.
Officers are appealing for information following the incident at 12.25pm on Sunday near to Glebe House, Cliburn, in Penrith.
Paramedics and Police attended the scene and the boy was taken by Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle.
Officers from the Police Collision Investigating Unit carried out inquiries at the scene.
Anyone who was in the vicinity and witnessed the incident is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101 and speak to PC Bradbury of the Operational Support Unit at Carlisle.
