SEVENTY five jobs are coming up on one of the Lake District's biggest tourist attractions.

Windermere Lake Cruises are taking on people in a variety of on and off shore roles.

Fixed-term contracts are available in customer services at the company's three busy centres around the 10.5 mile long lake - Lakeside, Bowness and Ambleside.

Crew are also needed to work onboard its 16 vessels - including three of its historic boats as well as its waterbuses and wooden launches.

Windermere Lake Cruises welcomes around 1.25 million passenger journeys every year - putting it number one in a Cumbria Tourism survey of the county's most visited tourist attractions.

Its also officially ranks in the top 10 of England's best visited 'paid for’ venues.

The company explained that during the summer months, staff numbers double to approximately 150 staff to cope with huge demand.

Other positions are available over the busy April-November period - staffing ticket offices, cafes, shops and information centres as well as drivers for the company's Bowness ‘road train’.
