A SHEEP had to be destroyed after it was attacked by a dog near Kendal.
Police are investigating following the incident which occured yesterday (Tuesday) at around 11am near Hawes Bridge, Natland.
The injuries sustained were so severe that the sheep had to be put down, said police.
Police are looking for the owner of the Lurcher, who is described at a white female, with long dark brown hair.
The woman was walking with two Lurchers at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to call Cumbria Police and ask for PC Everett on 101.
