A SPATE of thefts from vans is being investigated in Eden.

The theft of tools from vans parked in Appleby and Long Morton is believed to have taken place over night on Friday March 14 and Saturday March 15.

In Appleby, the incidents involved a yellow Peugeot van parked on Clifford Street, a white Peugeot Boxer van parked at Croft Ends, and a white Fort transit van parked on Thanet Terrace.

Tools were also stolen from a white Citroen Relay van in Long Marton.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cumbria Police on 101 and ask for PC 2287 Garfield at Penrith or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
