CUMBRIA Constabulary is hosting a live web chat tomorrow about the force’s current recruitment process.

The web chat will offer the chance to speak with Sgt Charlotte Lory and Human Resources Business Partner Kathleen Stephenson.

They will discuss the role of a police constable, the training provided and how it is just the start of an exciting and rewarding career.

Sgt Charlotte Lory said: “Working as a police constable enables you to support your local community whilst gaining new skills and experience in a professional role. If you are looking for a challenge and want to make a difference in the community, please join the web chat to find out more.

“The web chat is a great way to ask us a variety of questions, from how we manage our time to the support that is received from the police force. We encourage anyone who is interested to log on and join in.”

To take part in the web chat log onto: www.cumbria.police.uk/JoinUsChat between 6.30pm and 8pm.

The application process for new recruits opened on March 10 and remains open until mid-day on April 1.

It may close early if the Constabulary believes it has received enough quality applications to choose from. Further details about the role of a police officer are available on the Cumbria Constabulary website – http://www.cumbria.police.uk/join-us.
