HOLKER Garden Festival is back this year with a new look inspired by an unusual blue poppy found in its horticultural setting.

Jillian Rouse, festival manager, said: “It’s very important to us to keep the garden festival fresh, new and inviting for exhibitors and visitors year on year.

“As the festival is surrounded by 25 acres of part woodland and part formal gardens, it seems only fitting that the new festival logo should showcase a flower from within the grounds of Holker.”

The Blue Himalayan Poppy, a deciduous herbaceous perennial, is the new logo for the 22nd annual festival taking place from Friday May 30 to Sunday June 1 in the grounds of Holker Hall in Cark-in-Cartmel.
