CHILDREN’S paintings have been hidden across areas of the Langdale Valley as part of an Easter holiday game.
Fifty paintings, all sponsored by local businesses, have been created by pupils from Langdale CE Primary School.
Leaflets are available to buy in local shops and money raised will go towards updating the school’s IT equipment.
"They're not on the high fells and all could be reached by a toddler or a grandparent," said headteacher Mark Squires.
"It's a chance to show off the children's art to a wider audience, raise some money and have some family fun over the Easter holidays.
"Rydal Pack Horses and the Britannia Inn have provided prizes if you find them all (or almost all, the weather may defeat us) and return the leaflet to school."
Mr Squires also encouraged tourists to tweet pictures when they find one using #langdalegallery or by mentioning @LangdalePrimary.
