Motorcyclists are some of the most highly trained and regulated users on our roads. Isn't it time we saw multi-tierd tests for car drivers with restricted power to weight ratios and size limits?

Does that mean a Citroen C1 car would be the lowest tier for OAP's and Youngsters if so i like that idea.
I often shout 'Buy a C1' at OAP's when they can't park their Volvo XC90 in a space in six attempts at M&S. But the same C1 should be restricted for youngsters on motorways as I often see them fly past at well over 80.

The full circumstances of this incident are not yet known. As biker I am well aware that I am a vulnerable road user each time I venture out on the roads. I do urge all road users to take extra care. Watch out for cyclists, horse riders and pedestrians. Ride or drive with restraint, respect and responsibility, care courtesy and consideration and we will all get to our destination.

The design of the roundabout is probably the biggest problem. How many other roundabouts do you have to give way to the traffic coming from the left? Better road markings and more prominent signs would be a big help.

Have you ever come from Crook and gone into Kendal? Did you give way to traffic coming from Windermere? I really do hope so for the sake of others!

Just read your comment again ab oatman, and realised that maybe you were using a subtle but not often seen, on this website, level of humour in your one liner. I hope so, and if so I apologise for my previous petulant reply!!!
