PEOPLE are being encouraged to take part in a prize draw which has top prizes of £2,500 - among others.

St Mary’s Hospice in Ulverston is launching a new Silver Super Draw for its 25th anniversary.

Books of tickets are currently available from the St Mary’s Hospice shops in Barrow, Dalton, Ulverston, Grange, and Millom.

Alternatively, they can be obtained direct from the Hospice in Ulverston, or by calling 0870 085 8836. They are priced at just £1 a ticket and sold in books of 20.

As well as the two top prizes of £2,500, there are additional cash prizes ranging from £20 to £200 also up for grabs.

Elaine Close, community fundraiser at St Mary’s Hospice, said: “As well as raising as much money as possible in our anniversary year, we also wanted to give something back to the many thousands of people who have supported us over the last 25 years.

“We already run a successful weekly lottery, which has paid out big rollover cash prizes of up to £10,000 in the last few years and now we want more local people to benefit in the same way from this special Super Draw.”

The Super Draw will be carried out on Friday July 4 and the closing date for the return of all raffle tickets is Friday June 27.
