CUMBRIA Police have charged two people with events leading up to the sudden death of a 26-year-old-man.
 

Michael Hewson was found dead by ambulance medics in a property in a property on School Terrace, Millom, at 8.50am on Friday (May 9).
 

His death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem will take place to establish the cause of death.

During enquiries by the police into the circumstances two people were arrested and questioned regarding the events prior to Mr Hewson’s death
 

John Fretter, 25, of Newton Terrace, Millom has been charged in connection with two offences of threats to kill, criminal damage, witness intimidation and section 4 harassment.
 

He appeared at Barrow Magistrates Court this afternoon (May 12) where he was remanded until August 1 when he will appear at Preston Crown Court.

Ian Robert Fullard, 52, of Lord Street, Millom,  Millom has been charged in connection with assault by beating and perverting the course of justice. He will appear at Barrow Magistrates court on May 23.
 

The Independent Police Complaints Commission has been informed about the incident.
