A WORLD renowned author from Kendal is set to release her first book in the UK.
Bizarrely, Eleanor Jones is more famous across Germany, America and Canada than in Cumbria — but all that is about to change.
Eleanor, who became the first Miss Kendal in 1974, has been a successful professional author for 15 years with her best-seller, ‘Circle of Blue’, selling 38,000 copies in Germany alone.
She is internationally famous but locally anonymous because Stabenfeldt, the German company which published her books, only distributes in mainland Europe.
But a new deal with Mills and Boon will see her latest book, ‘The Country Vet’, hit the shelves on June 1, finally bringing her work to the UK.
