FIFTY square metres of fellside was deliberately set alight, fire fighters believe.

Fire fighters needed hose reels, hand held extinguishers and fire beaters as they combed the area putting out the different blazes.
The fires are believed to have been started deliberately, said the service.
The area concerned is off Red Bank Road above Grasmere.
Meanwhile in Ulverston on (Thurs), a blaze involving a large shed on Ulverston Road was put out at 11:37am.
The fire required water jets and fire fighters using breathing apparatus due to the smoke.
