SUPPORTERS of the North West Air Ambulance are being invited to send in their inspirational stories to mark the charity’s 15th anniversary.
To mark more than 18,000 missions flown since 1999, the charity is encouraging anyone who has needed or supported it to record and share their story on video. Celebrities, volunteers and medical crews are also being urged to participate to post messages of congratulations.
MORE TOP STORIES: Head of Fundraising at North West Air Ambulance Charity, Jenny Haskey, said: “We want to know if we’ve made difference to you or a loved one’s life. Maybe you’ve carried out a crazy fundraising event on our behalf? Are you one of our lucky lottery winners? Or maybe you’ve grabbed yourself a pre-loved bargain at one of our charity shops.
“We’d love people to record their story on a mobile phone or video camera and send it to us, so we can see what a difference we’ve made to people’s lives.
“We hope this will also to drive much-needed donations so we can continue flying our helicopters for the next 15 years and beyond.”
The North West Air Ambulance Charity’s helicopters fly 365 days a year, with the doctors and paramedics on board providing rapid treatment, hospital transfers, and ultimately, giving the gift of time to patients across the entire North West region each year. Anyone who wishes to take part can upload their video by logging onto www.nwaa.net and follow the section on how to upload a video.
