BEN Craig, 22, of Aynam Road, Kendal, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after pleading guilty at South Lakeland Magistrates’ Court to stealing two bottles of vodka from the town’s Booths supermarket.
The court heard he put the bottles back on the shelf after being challenged by a member of staff on April 26.
Craig was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
