ALLEGATIONS of sexual assault against a 26-year-old woman have been dropped, police said today.
It follows an investigation into a claim of serious sexual assault in south Cumbria.
Officers say enquiries at the scene and work with the victim have established 'the circumstances' and 'they are not what was initially reported'.
The alleged offence occurred in the Lesh Lane area of Barrow between 10pm and 11pm Sunday night.
Police said the investigation has now 'concluded'.
