A YOUTH theatre production almost didn't go ahead when the lead actress slipped and shattered her knee-cap.
Lucy Harrington, who was set to play Dorothy, was injured while climbing Scafell Pike. But the show will go on after she was replaced by understudy Molly Cowley.
Thirty youngsters at Grange Youth Theatre, aged between five and 16, will stage the Wizard of Oz from Friday.
The production will be at Victoria Hall on June 27, from 7.30pm and June 28 at 2.30pm and will aim to raise money for Cumbrian children's hospital Jigsaw.
Tickets, which are £6 for adults and £5 for children, can be purchased on the door.
