CUMBRIA Police are seeking help from a taxi driver after a woman reported she had been sexual assaulted.
Police said that on Saturday June 14 at 2pm, a man and a girl got into a taxi on English Street, Carlisle, opposite the Outrageous bar, and were taken to a house in Aglionby.
The 17-year-old girl later contacted police to allege that she had been sexually assaulted.
Police said a man, aged 21 from Carlisle, was arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed while enquiries continue.
Detectives investigating the incident are keen to speak to the taxi driver who took them both to Aglionby. The taxi was white in colour, said police.
Anyone with information is told to contact Cumbria Police on 101, asking to speak to DC Vicky Hughes.
