LEAFLETS and wristbands warning of the dangers of drinking alcohol are to be sent to Year 9 and Year 10 pupils across South Lakeland.
Created by students from Kendal’s Queen Katherine School, it is hoped the wristbands will be worn as a reminder to stay safe as the summer holiday begins.
It comes after the students gave a presentation to a panel of representatives from the Youth Offending Services, Inspira, Cumbria Alcohol and Drug Advisory Service and the police, helping them to develop their budgeting, marketing and communication skills.
The alcohol awareness project was funded by the Community Safety Partnership.
