SOUTH Lakes Housing has made 'dementia friendly' improvements to Birthwaite Sheltered Housing, Windermere.
There is now improved lighting, a sensory garden, new furniture and a redecorated communal lounge.
The works were a result of a partnership between SLH, Cumbria County Council, Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the Department of Health (Kings Fund).
