THE Lord Lieutenant of Cumbria will unveil a Diamond Jubilee plaque on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen at Bowness Promenade on Monday.
Claire Hensman will carry out the ceremonial unveiling at 11am. The project has been carried out by The Rotary Club of Windermere under the direction of member Jim Morphet.
It includes the refurbishment of the curved seat on the promenade and installation of a stone memorial which marks the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
It will be situated between the Old England Hotel and main pier.
