LAKE District tourism businesses have turned out to a busy event to find out how they can be promoted among Japanese visitors.
Cumbria Tourism and the Lake District Japan Forum played host to around 25 companies to share information about marketing the area in the country, which has the highest overseas spend in the Lakes.

“We were really pleased to be able to facilitate the open day which was a great success,” said Sue Clarke, of Cumbria Tourism.
“It was fantastic to welcome businesses to find out more about how they can get involved in the work of the Forum.
“The Lake District has over the years become a firm favourite with Japanese visitors and we will continue to work together to strengthen this relationship in future.”
