A WALKER collapsed while taking part in a Three Peaks Challenge in North Yorkshire on Saturday (July 19).

The 31-year-old man was on his way up Ingleborough from Chapel-le-Dale when he collapsed above Braithwaite Wife Hole on the organised charity walk.

Clapham Cave Rescue Organisation was called out at 5.20pm and assisted the casualty who was treated by paramedics.

The team helped the man to the waiting air ambulance which airlifted him to hospital.
