PEOPLE enjoying the weather in their gardens are being warned of would-be-thieves.
Cumbria Police are warning people to be security conscious when out in the garden and to make sure all windows and doors are locked.
This followed an incident yesterday (July 24) where a woman in Workington was out sunbathing in the garden.
Polcie said when she went back into the house, she realised that a number of items including a movile phone and jewellery had been be taken.
Police are reminding people to make sure that they keep their front doors and windows locked as they may be unable to hear if anyone enters their home.
They added that people having barbecues should leave doors locked rather than keeping an open door for guests.
Anyone that sees anyone behaving suspiciously is asked to report it to Cumbria Police on non-emergency 101.
