NINE shops in Furness have been praised after they all refused to sell alcohol to a 15-year-old in an undercover operation.
Cumbria County Council and Cumbria police targeted retailers in Kirkby-in-Furness, Dalton-in-Furness and Barrow. All challenged the volunteer for proof of age and refused to sell alcohol.
