ELLA Parker, seven, of Great Urswick, has beaten her target of raising £1,000 for holiday charity Alice’s Escapes with a 147.5-mile charity cycle ride.
Accompanied by her 20-month-old brother Zac, mum Gina and dad Mike, Ella has been clocking up the miles by pedalling to Bardsea beach, Scales Park and ‘around the block’, as well as a 15-mile ride on Anglesey.
She now has less than 100 miles to go, and last week visited the North Lonsdale Show at Urswick to meet the team from Alice’s Escapes and entered Alice’s dog Mable in the dog show – winning third prize.
A grand finale for Ella’s ride is planned for Sunday, August 31, in Great Urswick. To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/Ella-Zac-Parker/
