A WOMAN allegedly drove off without exchanging details with a driver after a smash on the A590 at Ulverston, say police.
A 60-year-old man was driving his red Volvo V40 saloon from his home in the Grange-over-Sands area to work in Barrow on Tuesday (August 5) when he collided with a grey Ford Focus.
Both vehicles were travelling on the west-bound carriageway leaving Ulverston and were coming to the end of the dual carriageway near Hill Foot when they crashed at around 4.30pm.
Cumbria Polcie said the drivers stopped in a lay-by but the woman driving the Ford Focus made off without providing keeper or driver details to the pensioner.
Ulverston Police are appealing for the driver of the Ford Focus and anyone who witnessed the crash to call PC 1920 Turner at Ulverston Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
