A CARE home worker was assaulted and left with serious facial injuries at a home in Ulverston.
The 56-year-old woman was attacked at Creative Support, on Victoria Road, on July 26.
Cumbria Police were called to the incident after they had a report of a member of staff being assaulted at 6.40pm.
The woman was taken to Furness General Hospital and is now resting at home.
A 23-year-old man, who lives at the home for adults with autism and complex and is a service user, has been identified as being involved, say police.
Cumbria Police confirmed that they are in the process of investigating the incident.
A police spokeswoman said: “A file is being prepared for the Crown Prosecution Service for their consultation.”
