TWO men stole £140 in cash from a Kendal shop by tricking the staff.

The men entered the store at around 7pm on Thursday August 7 and asked a member of staff to exchange ten £20 notes for £10 notes.

One of the suspects then counted the change in front of staff and handed the notes back, asking to exchange them for £5 notes, but concealing some of the cash in his hand.

The men left the store with an extra £140 in cash.

The suspects are described by police as ‘of Asian appearance’, one aged between 25-30 with short dark hair and wearing a white T-shirt with Arnold Schwarzenegger on the front.

The second is described as aged between 35-45, with short dark hair and a dark moustache and wearing a blue polo shirt with white square patches.

Anyone with information about the two suspects is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101.
