AN EDEN manor will make an appearance in a national cook book.

Appleby Manor Country House Hotel was asked to feature in the forthcoming Great British Cook Book 2014.

Co-owner Mike Dunbobbin said: β€œThe book celebrates our very diverse culture, uncovering extraordinary dishes served up by hundreds of pubs, restaurants and hotels across our great nation and Appleby Manor is thrilled to have been asked to join this fantastic project.”

All of the book sales will be divided between two charities – the Hospitality Action and Macmillan Cancer Support.

A panel of judges used Tripadvisor and social media in their quest for top venues and were on the lookout for establishments that featured local produce, were passionate and innovative with food.

The book will feature a double page spread with pictures and a brief about the hotel and its head chef Chris Thompson.
