RESIDENTS on a Kendal estate are one step closer to their dream of a new play park after receiving a cash boost from South Lakeland District Council (SLDC).
The local authority has agreed to contribute £20,000 from its New Homes Bonus towards the revamp of Sandylands Park.
Community Worker Jonny Gios said the total cost of the work would be around £100,000.
“We want to completely replace what’s there," he said.
