A MEMBER of the cleaning staff at the Morecambe Bay hospital trust has scooped an award for her work.
Jackie Moreland, of the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Trust, was honoured on Thursday at the British Institute of Cleaning Science awards, where she took the gong for ‘Outstanding Assessor of the Year’.
"I’m extremely proud to be representing Morecambe Bay and promoting the trust in a professional arena,” she said.
“I can’t wait to bring the award back to the workplace.”
Barry Rigg, lead for centre quality control, also attended the event.
He said: “Jackie’s award win demonstrates how Morecambe Bay NHS is leading the way for cleaning.”
Trust Chief Executive, Jackie Daniel, later offered her congratulations to the whole team.
