SOUTH Lakeland District Council has applied to Defra for the water off Rayrigg Meadow, Windermere, to be officially designated as bathing water. Consultation on the proposal runs until January 5, 2015. Visit

The consultation is now open and runs from 24 Nov 2014 to 5 Jan 2015.
