A RENOWNED photography team is preparing to launch a much-anticipated landscape documentary after returning from one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Oliver Gough and Jack Serginson, the men behind Kendal-based Ooze Photography, went to extreme lengths to capture some of the most remote parts of Norway for their latest film.

The pair shot to prominence after releasing a film called 'This is the Lake District' earlier this year, which showcased the beauty of the area and received thousands of online views.

It was even commissioned by the Lakeland Cottage Company and used to market the stunning region to international tourists.

Now the two 24-year-olds have returned from a three week trip to Norway where they travelled 2,400km around the country to obtain time lapse and aerial drone footage.

They hiked 22km up one of the nation's most treacherous mountains, Trolltunga, a jagged slab of rock overhanging a 700 metre drop, camping overnight in freezing conditions to ensure they showed it in the right light.

"We wanted to capture one of the most naturally stunning places on earth," said Oliver, of Old Shambles Yard.

"It was a challenge for us to shoot in such a serene yet extreme environment and we hope to do justice to what is a completely unique UNESCO World Heritage Site."

The pair also travelled to Odda and the Nigardsbreen Glacier and work is now underway to produce the film in time for their January deadline.

It is the first foreign trip of many for the Ooze Photography team as they hope to build-up their international portfolio and reputation in the coming years.

"We want to go to many beautiful places around the world and showcase them by making documentaries of their amazing settings," said Jack, from Grange-over-Sands.

Oliver added: "Every location, whether urban or rural, has something that makes it unique and special and we hope to capture that."
