POLICE are investigating the sudden death of an eight-month-old Cumbrian baby girl.
Detectives said they were called to an address in Carlisle at around 7.45pm last night by the North West Ambulance Service.
The baby was taken to Cumberland Infirmary in the city, where she died.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained and specially trained officers are supporting the family.
