A TALENTED Ulverston teenager is taking to the stage to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society and his future studies at drama school.

Ben Lewis, 18, has been singing and acting in local amateur dramatics since he was eight, and is a member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

Back in April, his Puttin' on the Ritz show performed to a sell-out audience at the Coronation Hall in his home town, raising more than £3,000 for Age UK South Lakeland.

The teen vocalist's new Tonight show features classic musical numbers from My Fair Lady and Carousel, as well as modern hits from Shrek the Musical and Matilda. Ben will be performing at the Malt Kiln, Scales, on August 13; Victoria Hall, Grange-over-Sands, on September 3; and the Laurel & Hardy Museum, Ulverston, on September 9. For tickets, email benlewistonight2016@outlook.com or call 07718-989915.

The shows will be Ben's last local performances before he embarks on three years of study at Guildford School of Acting in September.
