AN apple pressing day is to take place at Levens School on Saturday, October 15.
South Lakeland Orchard Group's apple press will be on hand to turn apples and pears into fresh juice. People are asked to bring plenty of containers as they can expect around 750ml juice per kilo; pasteurisers will be available.
All fruit must be either picked from the tree, or washed and cleaned windfalls. From 10am-3pm.
