JEWELLERY, including 'sentimental family items', were stolen when a caravan was burgled into near Kendal on New Year's Eve.
The burglary took place overnight at High Park Caravan Park at Oxenholme between 4.30pm on December 31 and 1pm on January 1.
During the burglary jewellery, including sentimental family items, were stolen.

The incident has caused the victim 'great distress.'
The public is asked to be vigilant if anyone is possession of jewellery and has no explanation for possessing it, or offering to sell that jewellery, especially if they seem to know little about it.
