A FUNDRAISING day is held this weekend to help a three-year-old boy receive vital cancer treatment in America.

Charlie Procter, from Accrington, was diagnosed with stage four hepatoblastoma a year ago, and has been undergoing extensive treatment since.

However, he soon became resistant to the treament, and fundraising began in efforts to raise enough money to send him for private treatment at the Cincinatti Children's Hospital.

The fundraising day starts in Heysham on February 26 at 11.30am.
