A WALKER with a broken ankle was rescued from the shore near Jenny Browns point at Silverdale yesterday afternoon.
Two teams from Bay Search and Rescue and Arnside and South Lakes Coastguard Rescue Team were deployed.

Once the woman was located North West Ambulance Service crew attended to the injury and the BSAR team then transferred her by stretcher to the North West Air Ambulance Charity helicopter, which the coastguard had prepared a landing site for.
The woman was airlifted to Lancaster Hospital where she received treatment for a fractured ankle, that may require a metal plate to repair it.
The Bay Search and Rescue were called out at 3.31pm on February 24.
