Grasmere Sports in the 1890s
To mark the 200th anniversary of The Westmorland Gazette in 2018, we are publishing a photograph from our archives on our website every day this year.
Today's photograph shows Grasmere Sports arena as it appeared in the 1890s when horse-drawn carriages, buses and wagons were the chief means of transport.
