A NEW database of rogue letting agents and landlords has been greeted with disappointment by the industry body for letting agents.
ARLA Propertymark said it was "wildly supportive" when the legislation was first announced. However, it says "the outcome is disappointing" because the database will not be public, so the bad agents and landlords on it will be able to continue operation "with impunity".
"This appears to be a pointless exercise," said chief executive David Cox.
